On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to announce that the VI Latin American Meeting on Biological Inorganic Chemistry (VI LABIC)/XIX Brazilian Meeting on Inorganic Chemistry (BMIC) and the VIII Brazilian Meeting on Rare Earths (TR-2018) will be held in Fortaleza, CE, Brazil, from 24 to 28 September 2018. Fortaleza is the capital of the northeastern Brazilian state of Ceará and is the fifth largest city in the country with a population of about 2.6 million. It is the closest Brazilian capital to Europe (5,608 km from Lisbon, Portugal) and is only 5,566 km from Miami (United States). In South America, Fortaleza is located 4,944 km away from Buenos Aires, 5,010 km from Montevideu and 5,983 km from Santiago.
